I guess I am a little late with an answer since you posted yesterday.

A quiet place for the bird to recover is the best thing for the bird. Also, make sure that it can not be picked up by a predator.

If the bird is not seriously injured, it will fly away after some rest. If it has injuries, try to find a wildlife rehabilitator in you area and call them to see if they can come for the bird.

Sorry for being late with a response. I hope the bird is well.

Sorry for not giving out a name/adress. I am young and so I dont believe I would feel at all happy if I did.

This morning, I was standing in my garage when I saw this male hummingbird hit full speed into our window. I yelped and ran over, finding the poor thing mangled but still alive beside one of my boots. I called for my mom, saying that the hummer hit the window and was still alive. I was afraid if I would have touched it I would have broken something.

Well, the little thing had a perserverence I never thought possible. I put it in a shrub and came in here to see what I should do for it. I thought about giving it some suger water, but I am waiting to see if it wakes up.

What should I do?

Beth;

Thank you for visiting!

I actually let the Hummingbirds come to me. I sit in a chair near the feeder just within focus range of my camera. I wait, move slowly when the birds are around and take my pictures.
