I agree with Driller. Very nice John. Can’t say that I’ve ever seen one before in person. I would imagine they are somewhat elusive.

I’ve seen several of them on the creek and near the slough. I saw a GREAT heron in my backyard this morning. Ran out to shoo it away. Too late. He’d devoured 10 of our fancy fish.
Net is now back on the pond.
