BPW: Bald Eagle

in Bird Photographs,Bird Photography Weekly,Blog

This weeks submission for Bird Photography Weekly showcases a photo of an adult Bald Eagle (which I believe to be male). The photograph was taken this past weekend over the cove off our back yard. This is one of the best in-flight Bald Eagle photos I have ever taken!

To learn more about the story on this photo, please read my previous post, “Beautiful weather, many birds“.

Simply clicking the thumbnail will enlarge it.

Wow- brilliant photo of a lovely impressive bird!

The Osprey looks just like the one that flew over me in my garden in West Lodon UK – not a usual occurance at all! Brought back to my memories with your photo.

Glad I found your blog – will be looking in again soon!

Thanks everyone!

Now that we know where the nest is at, we will be watching for fledged Eaglets. From a safe distance of course!

John!!!
At first I refused to enlarge this picture, I just did not want to cry, but as a birder, I could not resist and have been contemplating it for 20 minutes. This is just the kind of picture which makes me wordless!!! Almost could not breath, that is the most amazing shot ever, and a flying shot!!! One can only say well done master ;-)

Your pictures are just awesome. They are such breath taking birds. I love to watch them. I am so glad that I found this site. I really enjoy reading the info and especially looking at the pictures. Others are right – you are very lucky to be living so close to the eagles. These are some of the very best eagle pictures that I have ever seen. Looking forward to seeing more of your pictures.

I have seen a lot of Bald Eagle photos John and I must say, this in flight capture is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure to ponder! It is absolutely stunning!

I hope everyone reading this post clicks on your link to the previous post with the eagle/osprey story and all of your other sightings on that beautiful day! The shots of the Red Fox kit are incredible!

Stunning shot. Wow. You really framed that one!
And congrats for the high visitor numbers. Was that thanks to Bird Photography Weekly (a good shot helps of course!!) or do you have some other tricks for such good numbers?

Saludos
