Blue Jay – Cyanocitta cristata

This Blue Jay was keeping watch as other members of its family raided the feeders early Thursday morning. Once everyone had their fill, the sentry flew down and picked through the left-over peanut halves. Once his beak was stuffed to the point of bursting, he flew off to an unseen quiet spot to enjoy his bounty.
