Definitely need to see this in full size! Quite a WoWser you have here!! These are one of my favorite birds, but I never seem to get close enough…it’s that or I need a LONGER lens! Definitely one to hang on the wall! Very well done!

Popped this open in full size. I really like the way the light hits the heron.
The dark masses (seeweed?) also remind me of the coast around here in northern California.

Like Kerri, I have also managed to avoid any good photos of the Great Blue Heron. Always wrong place wrong time so definitely glad to see you have worthy picture.

Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic shot! I was at one of the nature reserves a few months back and I thought I see some of this. But too bad I only had my camera phone which wouldn’t allow me to take shot like yours.

Great photo–it didn’t enlarge much when I clicked on it but it’s still very sharp and detailed.
