Some background on this photo of the Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Sharon and I took a ride to Chopps Point on Merrymeeting Bay on Monday. We were not expecting to see any Warblers this late into fall. Imagine our suprise when we came across several apple trees that held at least 8 Butter Butts, and a Chestnut-sided Warbler!

A sure sign that it won’t be long until the winter winds will blow bringing snow, sleet and cold; we have had serveral Dark-eyed Juncos around our feeders.
